Boro-Sashiko Stitching – May 26th @ 3pm-6pm

Experiment with Japanese decorative stitching. Boro Sashiko gives new life to threadbare clothing. Particpants can repair something old  or create a new patch with recycled fabrics. Reinforce with style.

Boro Sashiko is a type of Japanese textile that has been mended and made decorative by way of patterned stitching. It is a way to reinforce the material by way of fabric patches layered with embroidery. Bring something you’d like mended and give it new life (e.g. moth eaten sweater or scarf, worn out jeans, shirts with threadbare elbows)
